The SHARK Alert

Dear Friends & Families of CES,

As our SHARKS in Mrs. Imparato's class shared through their poetry, the month of March came in like a lion and out like a lamb! It was a month of great learning and fun. Thank you to all who supported our PTO events and school-wide events.

The month of April shows no signs of slowing down. Make sure to stay up-to-date on all the exciting happenings by reading the SHARK Alert each week!

Please take note of the important update from the MRSD Transportation Department. Road work scheduled to take place in East Harwich my have an impact on some of the bus routes. More information can be found below.

We have three uninterrupted weeks of school before the April Break. Please note there will be NO FRIDAY clubs on Friday, April 18th. Session III Clubs will end on April 17th. Stay tuned for the Session IV Course Catalog and Registration coming soon!

Finally, a reminder that our SHARK Gear store is ending soon. If you need to restock your SHARK gear, make sure to check out the PTO's pop-up store and order your clothing today! Deliveries will be made to CES and sent home with students. More details and the link to the store can be found below.

Starting March 31, the first phase of road work for the placement of sewers will begin on Route 39 in East Harwich. Our Transportation Coordinator is in frequent contact with the construction team in order to minimize disruptions to school bus routes. Moving forward, if there are any specific changes to bus stops or routes, our Transportation Coordinator will contact those families directly. It is recommended that anyone traveling in this area allow for extra time, as through traffic will be detoured while the road work is underway.

The March Madness is heating up as we enter the Great Eight showdowns this week in Library classes. Students will vote for their favorites in the following matchups:

• I AM MADE OF MOUNTAINS vs. PARK TO PLAYA
• COUGAR CROSSING vs. ODE TO GRAPEFRUIT
• OUR POOL vs. SATURDAY FOOD PANTRY
• SOUL FOOD SUNDAY vs. WITH DAD

The PTO meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Media Center. Parents that would like to attend from home can connect via the Zoom Meeting Link provided below. There are lots of activities coming soon and all sorts of help is needed.
