Adulting 101 Fair!
Join us at ECCHS on March 6th from 2-5pm for the Adulting 101 Fair!
This Fair is designed and hosted by the Mental Health Capacity Building Team to ease the stress for students transitioning out of high school by connecting them to community agencies that offer support for life outside of school. As this transition can be an uncertain time, the Adulting 101 Fair aims to enhance student wellness by making sure they feel connected and supported as they navigate this new phase of life.
This event invites you to walk around a variety of community booths to ask questions and get answers about life outside of school. At the Fair you will receive information on taxes, insurance & registration, grocery budgeting, laundry basics, the real estate market, financial advice, and many other topics.
Students will have the chance to participate during school hours or are welcome to attend afterschool on their own or with their families.
We look forward to seeing you there!"

Help us guide our ship!
There are two surveys that are being conducted to hear from our stakeholders to help us guide our ship!
1. Battle River School Division survey - The BRSD Education Plan Stakeholder Survey is a quick and anonymous way for staff, students and families to share feedback that will guide meaningful improvements in our schools, while supporting the implementation of our Education Plan.
- The survey will take 12-15 minutes to complete.
- Data collection is conducted externally through Blulantern, ensuring confidentiality.
Your responses will help shape strategies in our Education Plan to support BRSD’s priorities: Learning Success for All, Enhance High Quality Learning and Working Environments, and Well-Being.
Survey links will be shared on February 24th with all staff, families and Grades 4-12 students, and will remain open from February 24 until March 10, 2025.
2. Alberta Education survey - Grade 10 students and families are asked to complete the Alberta Education Assurance survey. This survey guides a lot of our goals and plans as a school, so accesing your voice is really important to us! Please watch your email for information about this survey!

PowerSchool Web
This document informs parents about the detailed information the PowerSchool Parent Portal web browser provides about their students' progress.
Although the PowerSchool Portal app is convenient, it does not offer everything the web browser does.
Attendance
Research consistently shows that regular attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic success. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve higher grades, develop stronger social connections, and maintain positive mental health. Conversely, chronic absenteeism can create gaps in learning that are difficult to close and impact long-term outcomes. Ensuring that every student is present and engaged remains a top priority!
Attendance at BRACE looks very different - we consider attendance to be engagement - seeing you in our classrooms, or logging in Moodle and handing things in!
Keep engaged and keep in contact!
