Safety Update
Car Line Safety - Do you pick up your child each day?
As we work together to keep our dismissal process smooth and safe for all students, we ask for your assistance with a few key traffic and safety guidelines:
Rock Creek Church Parking Lot: Please do not use the Rock Creek Church parking lot for student pick-up.
Designated Car Lines: All students being picked up by car must use the designated Front or Rear car line loading zones on campus. No pick up should occur along Harper Rd. or First Street.
Crosswalk Safety: If your student walks or meets you nearby, please remind them that they must only cross the street at designated crosswalks.
Using unauthorized pick up or drop off areas creates unsafe conditions for students walking across vehicle lanes. Following the established car line procedures ensures our staff can safely monitor students in the car lines to make the process as safe and efficient as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation, courtesy, patience, and commitment to keeping our Raptors safe!
Scooters, Bikes, and Walkers
If your child gets to school by walking, bike, or scooter, please review steps they should be taking to be safe. Below is information for Motor-Assisted Scooters. Students riding motorized scooters and e-bikes must follow all traffic laws.
π¦ Rushing Middle School Open House - Save the Date
Thursday, September 10th is our Raptor Open House from 5:30β7:00 PM! Parents and students will follow a shortened bell schedule to meet and hear from each teacher. We will begin promptly at 5:30 PMβdonβt be tardy!
Please note: This is not a come-and-go event. Parents and students will begin in their childβs 1st period classroom and hear from the teacher. When the bell rings, you will have a passing period to make your way to 2nd period, and the process will continue through the evening. This gives families the opportunity to visit each of their childβs classrooms.
If you arrive late, you will need to join the schedule wherever we are at that time. Unfortunately, you will not be able to go back and visit classrooms you missed.
The classroom portion of Open House will end promptly at 7:00 PM, and classrooms will close at that time. However, the fun doesnβt have to end! PTO will have Sugar Shack and the Spirit Store open in the Cafeteria from 7:00β7:30 PM.
We look forward to seeing our Raptors! π¦π

Skyward & Technology Troubleshooting
As students return to school this week, here are some helpful links with information on Skyward troubleshooting and Back to School Technology information. As part of our secondary student authentication policy, all incoming 6th graders will now use pictographs to log in. Students will be automatically prompted to complete this setup during their very first login of the school year.
π» Accessing Google Classroom From Home
Students can access their Prosper ISD Google Classroom from home to complete homework and keep up with class assignments. On a home computer, students should go to the Student Portal and log in using their Prosper ISD account. From the Student Portal, they can access Google Classroom and view their assignments, announcements, and class materials.
Parents can encourage students to check Google Classroom regularly so they don't miss important assignments or updates.
