Two students by a mural

The Sun Post recently visited Brooklyn Middle STEAM School to learn more about the mural in the cafeteria created by students with the help of an artist in residence.

“When we were talking about the theme of belonging, the students kept coming back to representation of culture, representation of all the beautiful and diverse cultures we have in our school,” BMS Art Teacher Cassi Miesner-Knoll said. “That really was kind of like the driving point of this mural.”
