Congratulations to, Genevieve, our first Amazing Reader of the 2026-2027 school year! This third grader in Mr. D'Annunzio's class has already read and logged an incredible 25 books! Looking forward to seeing how filled our amazing reader wall gets this year!

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, which includes all the ways people express themselves when spoken words aren't enough—ranging from simple picture cards and communication boards to speech-generating tablets. Communication is a fundamental human right, and AAC helps many of our students share their thoughts, feelings, and choices. Throughout this month, we celebrate the diverse ways our students communicate. Ask your students about their experiences with AAC at school! They may have a friend in their class that communicates this way.

At Friday's Fun Run, our falcons were able to choose from two different courses, one large course and one sensory friendly smaller course. The smaller course was set away from music where students could participate in a calmer setting. The day was amazing and every Falcon had a great time supporting Franconia. Thank you so much to our Home and School for the support and for the Inclusion Committee for making this possible!

I’m so excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair soon! The fair will take place from Monday, November 9th to Thursday, November 12th in the library! It’s one of the most anticipated events of the school year for students—but we need volunteers to make it happen! Your help is crucial in making the Fair a truly unforgettable experience for our children. We hope you’ll consider offering your time and talents to get it running!

Our Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10. This day is for any child who was absent on the original picture day or wants to get a picture retaken. Any student getting a retake must return the original package on retake day. If you are not satisfied with your child’s school photo and would like a retake, please email Mrs. Malley at kmalley@soudertonsd.org and she will add your child to the schedule. If you need another payment envelope, please let her know as well and one will be sent home. The payment envelopes are good until November 10. Lifetouch is not able to receive late payments after November 10.

Students who were absent on picture day can either purchase online or with the payment envelope. If anyone was absent on the original day and already purchased, their packages will automatically be printed.

To order online, go to the Lifetouch website. Your picture ID is EVTP9V7KS. All packages taken on Retake Day will be shipped to the school.

Fall classroom socials and Halloween costume parade is this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30. Parade takes place from 2-2:30pm on the playground (come check out the costumes!!) and classroom socials will follow. Please be sure to send in any goodies you may have signed up for prior to Friday. If you are volunteering for the socials, please check in at 1:45 by the bus entrance. If you have been sent an email regarding your driver's license, please report to the office to have it scanned.

The Second Annual Falcon Fun Run Was a Super SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time on Friday. It was an absolute blast watching our falcons run the course. A huge thank you also to everyone who spread the word and raised funds; every dollar MATTERS and we are very grateful! We asked...and you showed up BIG time! Reaching our goal (and then some!) allows us to make a big impact in the lives of the students through the programs we support, the events we can put on, and the costs we can help offset.

Last Friday's Trunk or Treat was a monster success, and it's all thanks to you! WOW, Franconia! You packed the parking lot! The 27 decked-out trunks turned our parking lot into a spooky wonderland, and together we gave out over 300 pounds of candy. That’s a LOT of sugar and a whole lot of smiles!

Congratulations to our winners, Costco (DiNardo family), Super Mario (Plessor family), and Legos (Malke family) for best trunk! 🎃👻

To every parent who decorated, hauled, scared, and handed out treats, you are the real MVPs!

A special thank you to Souderton and Telford volunteer fire departments for supplying the lights that kept everyone safe. Thanks to the best DJ around, Scott, for keeping the spooky tunes spinning all night. And to our custodial staff: thank you for always helping us clean up!

Our kids will be talking about this night until Halloween 2027. Thank you for making it unforgettable! 👻
