The Cardinal Weekly
A Note from the Principal, Dr. Ortiz
August 20, 2025
As the summer winds to a close, I hope that you and your family have had a chance to rest and recharge for the upcoming school year. The 2025-26 school year promises to be one of great growth and opportunity for all of our students. I am immensely proud to serve the community as the principal of Upper Dublin High School and I cannot wait to see all of the great things that our students are going to accomplish over the months and years to come. Our staff has been working tirelessly throughout the summer preparing for the upcoming school year and we hope that your child has an unforgettable experience this year as a UDHS Cardinal. We will communicate out more Back to School Information next week in advance of students' first day of school on September 2. Until then, I hope you and your family are well and we look forward to seeing you all at UDHS in the upcoming school year.
With Great Cardinal Pride,
The Entire UDHS Leadership Team & Staff

Mini-THON Leadership Summit and Success
UDHS MiniTHON- Over the summer, our 2 advisors took 2 of our board members, Kayla McNamara and Sarah Pliner, to the MiniTHON Leadership Summit where they learned more about their "why they MiniTHON' and how to best encourage and support the UDHS MiniTHON and our students!! Taking a day during their summer break to give to others was admirable. Please encourage your high schooler to get involved in this club!
In other Mini-THON news, we are very proud that Ms. Sachson was the recipient of the 2025 Strength Award that recognizes integrity, humility, innovation, and authenticity of a student or advisor who has led their school community by inspiring, unifying, and empowering others through remarkable leadership. We are so very proud of the great team of Ms. Sachson, Ms. McNamara, and all of the students and volunteers of our UDHS Mini-THON. Congratulations, Ms. Sachson.
