Greetings, Madrona Families!

Our students are officially settling into the rhythm of learning here at Madrona! It was fantastic to see them opening their lockers with ease, arriving to class on time, and fully engaged in essential grade-level learning. During snack and lunch, students have been enjoying well-deserved breaks, connecting with friends and playing games on our blacktop and field.

  • An invitation to Back to School Night (September 15th, 5:15 pm -7:00 pm)

  • PTSA Updates

  • Campus-wide Portrait of the Graduate spotlights

  • School and district resources

Important Reminders:

  • Monday, September 7: No School (Labor Day Holiday)

  • Tuesday, September 8: Late Start (First bell rings at 9:20 AM)

Wishing you all a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Go Wildcats!

Kind regards,

In Mrs. Ton's 8th-grade Project Lead the Way Automation & Robotics class, student teams tackled an engineering challenge: designing and building a catapult within a 9" x 9" x 9" footprint. Their builds were tested for accuracy and power, requiring them to knock down at least 6 out of 10 cups in a tower across various distances. Fantastic!

What is CYBHI Billing?

Did you know Torrance Unified can be reimbursed for wellness and mental health services we already provide to students, at no cost to families? This funding, part of a statewide initiative called CYBHI, stays within our district, goes directly toward expanding and sustaining these programs, and it never affects your personal insurance.

The easiest way to help is by adding your child's insurance information during annual PowerSchool registration. If that information isn't on file, our partner Care Solace may reach out to collect it, so completing registration now saves everyone a step.
