Principal's Message
Dear Lodi High School Community,
As we enter the week of September 21–25, we are approaching both the end of Marking Period 1 and our upcoming two-week break. I want to share a few important updates and also celebrate a recent accomplishment by our school community.
Celebrating Our English/Multilingual Learners
At the most recent Lodi Unified School District Board meeting, Lodi High School was recognized as the top high school in the district for English Learner reclassification, with a 17% reclassification rate last year.
This recognition reflects the hard work of our English/Multilingual Learners and the dedication of our teachers, classified staff, EL/ML team, families, and everyone who supports our students. Congratulations to our students and the entire Lodi High School community!

As you review your student’s progress together, consider these three questions:
Where are you now? Where do you want to finish? What do you need to do next to get there?
Online Data Confirmation
Thank you to the many families who have already completed Online Data Confirmation. If you have not yet completed the process, please log in to the Aeries Parent Portal, follow the pink notification banner, and select “Finish and Submit.”

Cash for College Nights – FAFSA/CADAA Support
We are excited to offer four opportunities to attend a Cash for College Night! These events are designed to help seniors and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
Please take advantage of one of these opportunities to receive support and get your questions answered as you complete the financial aid application process. If you have any questions, please reach out to the College and Career Technician at your school.
See image below for dates and locations. We hope to see you there!
Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance is essential to student success. Families are encouraged to help ensure that students arrive on time each day, attend every class, and come prepared to learn.
Student Identification Cards
For safety and identification purposes, all students are required to wear their school-issued identification card on their lanyard while on campus. Student IDs must be visible and should not be kept in a backpack, pocket, or phone case. We appreciate the support of our families in reinforcing this expectation with their students.
Dual Enrollment Opportunities
Lodi Unified School District offers Dual Enrollment opportunities that allow eligible high school students to take college-level courses and earn college credit while completing their high school education. Dual Enrollment provides students with an opportunity to experience college-level coursework, explore academic and career pathways, and begin earning college credits before graduation. Students and families interested in learning more about Dual Enrollment opportunities are encouraged to connect with their school counselor for additional information regarding available courses, eligibility, and enrollment. E-Bike and Scooter Safety
If your child is riding an E-Bike or scooter to school, please review the following information provided to Lodi USD by law enforcement to ensure that your child is following regulations and is riding with safety.
- E-Bikes - There are three classifications of e-bikes. All e-bikes must have an electric motor of less than 750 watts.
- Class 1 and 2: These e-bikes are similar to regular bicycles. They can be identified as pedal assisted with an electric motor that reaches a maximum speed of 20mph. Class 1 and 2 riders must wear a helmet while riding and adhere to the same regulations as regular bicycles.
- Class 3: These e-bikes are pedal assisted with an electric motor that ceases to provide power at 28mph. These e-bikes have age restrictions, riders must be 16 years or older, and must be wearing a helmet at all times when riding.
- Motorized Scooters - Motorized scooters are two-wheeled devices with a floorboard or seat, and are powered by an electric motor.
- Riders of motorized scooters must be 16 years of age or older, and must have a valid driver's license or learner's permit to legally ride. Riders must also wear a helmet.
Please help us keep students safe by ensuring these regulations are followed. Thank you!
Google Classroom Guardian Emails (K-12)
📣 Google Classroom Guardian Emails Now Synced with Aeries
You may have already noticed—guardian email invitations in Google Classroom are now automatically synced with the Aeries database.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Only guardians listed as Educational Rights Holders in Aeries are invited to receive weekly email summaries from Google Classroom.
- Manual guardian entries are no longer allowed. The list is fully controlled by the Aeries sync and updates nightly.
- If a guardian isn’t receiving the invitation, please direct them to contact the school office to update their information in Aeries.
- Guardians who wish to stop receiving emails can simply delete the invitation.
Please do not advise them to click “unsubscribe,” as that will not stop Google from resending the invitation. - Guardian summaries include:
- Missing work
- Upcoming work
- Recent announcements, assignments, and questions
- A preview link to Google Classroom
- Note: Grades, comments, and student attachments are not included.
