From Doan's Desk...
I wanted to make sure to send out a reminder for our current 9th-11th grade students that in a couple of weeks we will begin course selections for the 2024-25 school year. A lot hinges on the accuracy of this process as we based all of our final master schedule of teachers and courses based on student requests.
To support our elective courses that are not tied to specific graduation requirements we are hosting a couple of information fairs during Access periods on Thursday, February 20th and 27th. We hope that students can drop by to learn about the variety of elective courses we have to explore or make a part of their career pathway. Teachers will be available to discuss courses and sign off on students' elective registrations.

Mock Trial Competes at Regionals
Monarch competed this past weekend in the Boulder regional mock trial tournament. The team did not advance to the state tournament but acquitted itself well against a crowded field of some of the best teams in the state. Some highlights include Monarch placing 4th for professionalism in the courtroom. In addition Kian Fowler and Quinn Tooley placed 3rd for their witness portrayals, and Zoe Dudley took first place for her great portrayal of a detective.
