9th/10th Newsletter 2026
August 18, 2026
Let's Continue to Inspire Success....Together!
Welcome to a New School Year, New Beginnings, & New Opportunities!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year, Crosby 9th and 10th graders! This monthly (and sometimes bi-monthly) newsletter is here to encourage, inform, and celebrate you as you grow, learn, and embrace every opportunity that comes your way.
I look forward to meeting each of you and learning about your career interests, college dreams, and personal goals. As the 9th/10th Grade Crosby Program Coordinator, I am here to support and guide you as you explore your future, set goals, and make informed choices throughout high school. While I am not a teacher or school counselor, I work alongside them as an additional resource, mentor, advocate, and supporter, helping connect you with college and career opportunities while supporting your journey toward success.
🦋Motivational Moment🦋
Your future is created one choice, one challenge, and one opportunity at a time. Be curious, be courageous, and never underestimate the impact you can make. Believe in your potential and remember that your voice and dreams matter.
5 Crosby Success Tips from Crosby Seniors, Class of 2027
"Crosby Scholars helps open doors. Your job is to walk through them. The opportunities are here. The choice to engage, explore, and grow is yours!"
1. Show Up Before You Feel Ready
You don't have to have it all figured out. Attend the academy/workshop (held virtual or in-person so no excuses), attend "Crosby on Campus" events at your school, Sign up to Volunteer at a Community Service event, and try new things. Confidence grows when you take the first step.
2. Get Curious About Yourself
Not sure what you want to do yet? That's normal. Use Crosby to explore your interests, strengths, and the possibilities waiting for you.
3. Build Your Circle
You don't have to do high school alone. Connect with people who support your growth, including your Crosby Coordinator, teachers, counselors, family, and friends.
4. Say "Yes" to Opportunities
College visits, career events, leadership activities, and workshops can introduce you to new interests, people, and future possibilities. Stay open and get involved.
5. Stay Informed (Please make sure your Email Address is updated)
Check your email, read the Crosby newsletters, log in to Crosby Connect to sign up for events, and follow Crosby on social media. Important events, scholarships, college visits, job shadowing opportunities, and career experiences happen throughout the year, and you don't want to miss out.
