This week, we are practicing Habit 6: Synergize-Together We Are Better!

We are encouraging students to work together, appreciate each other's differences, listen to different ideas, and recognize that everyone has unique strengths to contribute. At home, you can encourage this habit by involving your child in family activities, working together on chores, listening to one another, and reminding them that teamwork helps us accomplish more.

Estamos animando a nuestros estudiantes a trabajar juntos, apreciar las diferencias de los demás, escuchar distintas ideas y reconocer que cada persona tiene fortalezas y talentos únicos que aportar. En casa, pueden fomentar este hábito involucrando a sus hijos en actividades familiares, trabajando juntos en los quehaceres del hogar, escuchándose unos a otros y recordándoles que cuando trabajamos en equipo podemos lograr mucho más.

Join us for Fall Festival this Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. hosted by PTA. There will be food and games. Tickets will be needed to buy or pay anything. *Students must be accompanied by an adult

*Tickets are $1 each you can purchase tickets after school Monday in the front of the school or you the day of.

In honor of Veterans Day there will be no school Wednesday November 11! School resumes Thursday November 12 and it will be a Regular Day.

Families, we need your help! Please help your children practice basic math skills daily at home to end the year proficient. Below are SOME skills needed per grade that you can help your child master at home. Keep in mind that your child should have also mastered ALL the previous grade-level math skills. Click on your child's grade HERE then the subsections for the grade-level descriptions for each math area. (TK see Kinder). Feel free to go to the math section (click MORE) in Dualschools.com for handouts. Nicoloff is also planning a math family night when we return.

K - Count to 100 by 1's and 10's, add & subtract (+/-) to 10, group items, read & write numbers 0-20

1st - Count to 120, +/- to 20, solve word problems, digits: 1's & 10's, time, measure, data, shapes

2nd - Count to 1000, Fluent +/- to 20, add/subtract 100, odd/even #s, digits: 100s, estimates, $

3rd - Multiply/divide within 100, Fluent +/- to 1000, fractions, area, represent data, perimeter

4th - Multistep word problems, number form: expanded #s, decimals, conversion, angles/degrees

5th - Numerical expressions, Hundreths, +/-/x/% fractions, volume, graphing, 2-dimension figures

6th - Ratios, Percents, Divide fractions, Rational #s, variables, algebra, plot lines, interpret stat. data
