THANK YOU
We have had a great week! Big thank you to our PTO. Last year's fundraising allowed us to purchased the Book Vending Machine!! This week Dr. Gordon, D303 Superintendent, and Mrs. William from our PTO were able to share in the ribbon cutting of the first students to choose their birthday book! The book vending machine will be used for every student to receive a birthday book and other incentives throughout the year! We are incredibly grateful for the purchase of this wonderful addition to Wild Rose for our students!
Also thank you to the PTO for decorating our staff lounge, the caramel apple bar and hot tea provided this week for September staff appreciation! We are very grateful!
There is a lot happening in the next few months! Next week is curriculum night on Tuesday, September 9th. Please be mindful of cars and people walking around and into the building, as it will be a very busy evening. The all school fundraiser - Glow Dance-A-Thon is at the end of this month. See information below. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year and provides so much assistance all year long to our students, staff and community! Conferences are at the start of October along with Book Fair!
Have a wonderful weekend Wild Rose!

Parents/guardians may opt their child out of the physical participation in this drill each year by emailing Principal Theresa Solomon at Theresa.Solomon@d303.org at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled date. Students who have been opted out will receive an alternative school safety learning experience with a certified staff member.

Updates on D303 Procedures
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
Wild Rose Curriculum Night
Curriculum Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm This format will allow families to attend sessions for multiple teachers if necessary and ensure that they receive a comprehensive overview of what to expect throughout the school year. It also provides a chance for parents to understand classroom and homework expectations, and learn about the key curricular topics your children will explore.
Each classroom teacher will run two sessions:
6:00-6:25 Session 1
6:25-6:35 Break
6:35-7:00 Session 2
Please plan accordingly, this is an evening for parents to meet with their child's teacher. We look forward to a great evening!
