Greetings PHMS Students and Families,

As we begin our 5th week of school, please take some time next week to check out your child's grades using the parent portal. This is a wonderful opportunity to give praise, offer encouragement, and help set goals for the final weeks of the first quarter.

If you have questions, please encourage your child to talk to the teacher. Of course you may email the teachers, but this is the age when we really try to teach students to be their own advocates, speak up, and ask questions. We are here to help!

Our football team will play its first game this week. Good Luck! Our cheerleaders will also be cheering at our home basketball games. Let's Go Pirates! If your child would like to attend home games as a fan, they must ride the bus home or be picked up after school. Everyone is welcome back at game time though! Coaches will be able to supervise only kids on the teams. Hopefully, we can fill the stands this week. Join us if you are able.

4) Student Council Elections took place on Tuesday. Congratulations to our Student Council.

5) All our basketball teams had a good night at Hermitage. Our boys are traveling to Chadwick on Friday. You've Got This!

6) Student Advisory Board met for Leadership Lunch on Thursday and made some great plans for the year! (See member list below-New at large members will be chosen in January)

7) Pirate Time Assembly today: 4-H Clubs introduced - they will choose next week and start on the 19th during Pirate Time.

8) We had a Pop Up Reward on Thursday for students who have not been on the ICU list. WOW!

9) Tutoring has started! Check the schedule, if your child needs some extra help-we are here!

10) The September Library Challenge continues. Participants can earn special treats! Check out information below for this month's focus.
