Winter Wear
As our seasons change, our temps are dropping. Please be sure to send your child to school with the appropriate hats, coats, and gloves.
If you need any assistance with getting hats, coats, or gloves for your child(ren), please reach out to Miss Dobrowski, our School Counselor.
NEW! WES Heart of the School Award
Help us celebrate the amazing staff at Wheatfield Elementary! Do you know a staff member who has gone above and beyond, made a difference in your child's day, or simply deserves a little extra recognition?
Each month, we'll be recognizing one special WES staff member, and we want to hear from YOU! Whether it's a teacher, instructional assistant, office staff member, or anyone else who makes WES a wonderful place, we encourage you to submit a nomination!
Parent-Teacher Conferences | Thank You!
Thank you for attending your child's Parent-Teacher Conferences a few weeks ago. Our relationships with our parents at WES is a key ingredient for making WES the place to be!

If you need your child's access code again, it is available on Skyward Family Access. You can also call the office and we will be happy to get that to you! Click the button below to take you to the ILEARN Family Portal website.
Student Chromebooks
When your child brings home their chromebook, it is important that it is returned to school the next day. Thank you for helping remind your student to put it away in their backpack so it can come back to school!
Box Tops!
Box Tops has been a great way to raise funds for schools for many years. It's now an app on your phone! Please consider downloading it to help raise money for WES! It's easy to do and the app explains it all to you. You just scan your receipt or enter a digital copy and it will send some money to WES! Every penny counts! As always, we appreciate your support!

· ALL cars that are parked along the curb will release their child to enter the school. There will be extra staff members to assist your child.
· Be ready to provide staff members with your child’s barcode.
· All parents who are dropping off and picking up their child should approach our school from the south (State Road 10). This will assist our bus traffic as they enter for arrival and dismissal.
· Parents must stay in their vehicle, no congregating by the school doors.
· Students must be fastened into their seatbelts before leaving. IF your child needs assistance with buckling up, please park in the south parking lot to allow the line to continue, and walk to Door #1 to pick-up your child.
· Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.

School Attendance is Important!
Some Attendance Tips:
Make sure your student keeps a regular bedtime and establishes a morning routine.
Turn off all electronics including TVs, phones, and tablets at bedtime.
Have backpack and clothes prepared the night before.
Check with our school nurse or office staff if you are not sure about when to keep your child at home due to illness.
Avoid scheduling vacations while school is in session.
Make every effort to schedule doctor appointments around school hours.
Talk to teachers and our social worker for advice if your student feels anxious about going to school.
In the event that your student cannot get to school in their normal manner, develop a plan with another family member or trusted adult to get them to school that day.
