Foussat Weekly Newsletter
May 24, 2026
Message from Mrs. Glassford and Ms. Alton
Dear Foussat Families,
Memorial Day is a special American holiday celebrated on Monday, May 25, 2026, to honor and remember the brave military heroes who died while protecting our country. On this day, families wave American flags, watch colorful parades, and pause for a quiet moment of silence to say thank you for our freedom. Shout out to all our Foussat Families that have a family member or friend that has given the ultimate sacrifice for our country!
Last Wednesday, Foussat Falcons participated in the district's Honor Band Concert. Our students were brilliant in this district wide celebration.
Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make our Book Fair a success! A shout out to the families and students that purchased books for their homes and our teachers. "Families that read together, succeed together!" We are especially grateful to Ms. Angie, our LMRT who organized this event.
Go Foussat Falcons!
School Site Council Meeting
The last School Site Council Meeting for the 25/26 school year is scheduled for May 28th, 2026. The link for the meeting for the meeting is attached.
Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is an after school program that met weekly from February to May. Girls on the Run inspires girls grades 3rd to 5th of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting. We inspire team members with and without disabilities to strengthen their confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity. Not only that, the girls created a community service project that helped the cutest dogs ever!
At the end of the season, this past Sunday, May 17th, the team completed a 5K together!
It was a wonderful event that provided a tangible sense of accomplishment and set a confident mindset into motion.
Special thanks to our coaches - Maestra Cooke, Maestra Springsted, and Maestra Mateus!
Go Foussat Falcons!
