Week of August 17th, 2025
Dear Falcon Families,
What a great opening week of the 2025-26 school year! Our Falcons learned new classroom and school routines, saw old friends and met news ones. We are looking forward to a great year together and your partnership will ensure that happens!
Please plan to join us on Thursday evening for our annual Back to School Night. This is an evening intended for parents/guardians only as the teacher will be sharing all the information you will need and want to know to make this a great year for your Falcon. We will begin in the MPR at 5:30 pm with a staff introduction followed by a general association PTA meeting. Class sessions will begin at 6:00 pm and teachers will host 2 identical sessions. 6:00 and 6:40 pm. See you Thursday!
We want to give a big shout out and thank you to our PTA for hosting a welcome back lunch for staff on Friday! It was delicious and a delightful way to close out the week. Our students and families very much enjoyed The Kona Ice Truck at dismissal on Friday too! We plan to have more Kona Ice Fridays monthly...stay tuned. Thank you, PTA!
Go Falcons! 💚

Lunch Menu for August
Link to FSD website Nutrition Page
Lunch and breakfast will continue to be free for all students daily. We will still do a lunch count daily so please discuss with your student the importance to take a correct lunch count. Some students bring a lunch to school and then at lunchtime go get a school lunch. This results in some lunch shortages of the choice meal that day. Lunch options are still available and all children will be fed but often when this happens, the "lunch of the day" runs out. Please review with students the importance of this an accurate lunch count.
Reminders & Updates
- You can drop off meds anytime starting now between 9 AM - 2 PM through the first day of school.
- You will need the IHP form - linked here
A reminder, if your child will need crutches or a cast and/or splint to begin the year, or any time during the year, please fill out this form and bring your child by the office to check in. We will need to ensure their safety prior to entering campus.
As always, please call the office with any health-related information, questions and/or concerns regarding your child.
