8th Grade Update 4/20

As we wrap up April in a few short weeks, the year will soon be coming to a close. This past week, students worked very hard on their ELA state tests and I am sure did a wonderful job. Next week, we will be taking our Math test on April 28th and 29th. Then wrapping up state testing with our Science test on Friday, May 1st. We continue to urge students to stay engaged and finish out the year on a positive note.

On Thursday May 28th, at 10:00 we will be celebrating our 8th graders accomplishments and our final send off to the high school. Below is a website with all the information that you will need as well as frequently asked questions about the event. We are looking forward to hosting this again this year. Thank you to all the parents and PTA members that have dedicated so much time and planning to this year's event.

My name is Mr. Sharaba, and I’m looking for the best gamers at Strongsville.

Before coming here, I coached competitive esports at my former district, where we have won regional and state trophies, and I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to build a championship team. Now, I want to bring that same energy here.

This isn't just about playing games after school. We’re talking about official competitions, state trophies, and traveling to live events.

Reminder for parents dropping off students in the AM

I've attached our video that was created to demonstrate proper procedures when dropping off. This system has been proven to work in an efficient way when followed. Just a couple reminders:

1. Please use the road around the back of the building when dropping off in the morning.

2. If you are the first car, please pull all the way up in the drop off area giving space for 3 cars to unload at a time.

3. No passing at all to provide a safe space for students to unload.

Please make sure we have updated information for your student for the 25-26 school year. Please log in to PowerSchool and confirm enrollment details as soon as possible. Without this update, students may not be able to attend field trips or enjoy quarterly incentives off campus.

How to update information on PowerSchool -- please note, this must be done on a desktop.
