MDJH Clothing Order
Our Grizzly MDJH Clothing Order storefront is open!
Our learning community is well aware that being an MDJH Grizzly is a BIG DEAL and showing off with school clothing is a great way to let people know how proud we are. We often see former students in the community still sporting their MDJH attire and coming back to purchase school swag long after they have left MDJH and moved on to other schools – that’s how proud they are of our learning environment!
The more people with access to this swag increases everyone's sense of belonging. We have also included a donation section if you are able to assist us in helping students who are unable to purchase anything. Parents of Grizzlies are able to order for themselves as well.
We love it when we see our families wearing MDJH clothing at events! It truly sparks wonderful and positive conversation! Together, we are better!
Grade 9 Girls Volleyball

Math League
Math League is starting up at MDJH with our first competition taking place on Nov. 21st, 3:30 pm at St. Paul's. Any students interested that has not already done so are asked to talk to Ms. Denine for details about practices.
The Best Buddies chapter at MDJH
The Best Buddies chapter at MDJH will continue this year. This is a student-driven group that fosters friendships between students with exceptionalities and those without. Please have a look at their site, bestbuddies.ca, if you would like more information. So far, we have 25 students signed up to volunteer for Best Buddies. We will be meeting twice a month. If you have any questions you can contact the teacher facilitators - Miss Dawn Squires at dawnsquires@nlschools.ca., Miss Brooke Squires at brookesquires@nlschools.ca, or Miss Rebecca Walsh at rebeccawalsh@nlschools.ca. We are so excited and looking forward to another fantastic year of fun and building friendships!
What's Been Going On
Hallowe'en
Students were encouraged to wear a costume on Thursday, October 31. This year we did a costume contest and judging occurred in the gym at recess. First and second place winners at each grade level received treats and gift card prizes.
Our students also participated in a Halloween Spider Scavenger Hunt from Oct 28-30, planned entirely by our student leaders. There were Halloween treats for the class with the most points.
Other Info
Forgotten But Not Lost
Our students have a lot on their minds, and sometimes they forget their coats, boots, or earpods. If your child is missing something, have them check in the office or on the clothing racks in the hallway just across from the office.
Here is an assortment of what we have waiting to be claimed:

Later this month, and into December, we will be asking our school community to help us donate some much needed items for the residents. These items include treats, crossword puzzle books, and toiletries. Monetary donations are also graciously accepted. More details to follow.
