Dear Team Page Students, Staff, and Families:
The Good Neighbor Challenge is Back: Making a Difference Together!
At Page School, we believe that being a good neighbor means looking out for one another, lending a helping hand, and making sure everyone in our community has what they need to thrive.
Food insecurity is a real challenge for many families, including families right here in our own school community. For some, having consistent access to nutritious food is an everyday concern. Through the Good Neighbor Challenge, we have an opportunity to come together, support Our Neighbors’ Table, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.
This is about more than collecting food. It is about teaching our children the importance of compassion, generosity, and service to others. Every donation, big or small, sends a powerful message that we care about our neighbors and that we are stronger when we support one another.
I encourage all of our Page families to participate in this wonderful cause. Let's show what it means to be a good neighbor and work together to make a difference!
Let's fill the shelves, support our neighbors, and bring home the Good Neighbor Award!
With gratitude,
Dr. G

Canine Detectives: Sniffing out the Spotted Lanternfly
Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10:00 AM
Melissa McCue-McGrath, PACT ATI / ABTC ATI is a dog trainer and author, will visit the West Newbury Library at 10am, joined by her detective dogs, Captain and Rookie. She’ll share how she trained pet dogs, like yours, to sniff out the invasive Spotted Lanternfly, a species that is wreaking havoc in much of New England, including Massachusetts, and is a threat to 70+ New England crops, plants and trees.
The event is free and open to all, and is geared to people who love dogs, or people who are interested in environmental issues affecting Massachusetts. It’s a chance to learn how the same dogs who join you on quiet walks through the woods might also help safeguard them for the future, and an opportunity to learn the methods used so you can train your pet dogs at home to be detectives, too!
Virtual: Presidential Series: James K. Polk presented by Heather Rogers
Friday, Nov. 13 at 10:30 AM
This month, we learn about James K. Polk: Don’t let the haircut fool you – this guy was all business. He was so likely to go unnoticed that his wife requested that “Hail to the Chief” be played whenever he entered an event. Don’t you want to know more? Heather Rogers isn’t a historian, an academic, or an impartial storyteller… but she has read more than one book about every U.S. president. Out of spite. She was dubbed “America’s Preeminent Presidential Doodler” by one of her favorite biographers and she’s been repeating it ever since. When she’s not reading or doodling history books, she’s a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and content creator. RSVP for the Zoom link.
