There's No Place Like South
Hello South Families!
In just a few short weeks, South will once again be filled with students, staff, conversations, laughter, and all the energy that comes with the start of a new school year. The quiet halls have been nice for a little while, but South just isn’t the same without the people who bring it to life each day. We are ready and genuinely excited to have everyone back!
To our freshmen and new to South families, we are excited to welcome you! Starting at a new school brings excitement, questions, and maybe even a few nerves. Please know that you are joining a community that is ready to support you along the way. Our teachers, counselors, administrators, and staff are here to help, so never hesitate to reach out with a question or concern.
Our goal is to provide you with weekly updates through the South Spotlight. They will mostly come on Sundays unless there is a holiday. Think of it as your weekly connection to South, with important dates, reminders, upcoming events, school news, celebrations, and other information to help you stay connected to what’s happening throughout our school.
As we prepare for another year together, our focus remains on what has always made South special: our people. Together, we will continue creating a school where students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to be their best.
We are looking forward to another great year and, most importantly, to seeing our halls full of life again.

Ready to Welcome You Home!
As we get ready to welcome students back, we’re reminded of what makes South such a special place. It’s more than our classrooms, hallways, traditions, and events—it’s the people who fill them every day. We’re excited for the energy, connections, and opportunities that a new school year brings.
As your assistant principals, we’re looking forward to supporting our students and families, celebrating successes, working through challenges, and making this another great year together.
The building is ready. We’re ready. Now we just need our students back—because there’s no place like South!
Your Assistant Principals

Dear South Families,
Summer break is coming to a close, and we are excited to begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year!
