8th Grade Social Studies Benchmark Spring Assessment
Now is a good time to begin assessing students using the 8th Grade Social Studies Benchmark in GCA. I am making the assessment available at all schools. It is strongly encouraged that you assess your students once 90% of your content has been covered prior to the Milestones Assessment. Hopefully, you will find that this data will be helpful as you prepare your students from review in the upcoming weeks. Please make sure you utilize the GaDoe Milestone Assessment Guides linked below to help you intentionally and strategically prepare review activities. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
Useful Tools to Prep for Milestones
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, it is time to begin preparing our students for the Milestones Assessment. It is incredibly important to review the domain percentages to ensure that your standards have been covered appropriately. Please use the following GADOE resources to help you prepare for the Milestones. Click on the buttons below to access the Milestones Blueprint for 8th Grade Georgia Studies and US History EOG Exam.

Congratulations to Willis Road Elementary School's ECON GAMES Champions
Both Northside Elementary and Willis Road sent teams of students to participate in the annual GCEE Metro Atlanta ECON Games. This year, the games were held at the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank. Out of 29 teams from across the metro-Atlanta region, Willis Road took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 5th Grade Division. Both schools represented Coweta Schools well! We are super proud of these students!
