A Few Seconds at Stuber
Principal's Message
Stuber Family,
It’s hard to believe we already have one full nine weeks under our belt! As we begin to move into the second quarter, I want to take a moment to check in and hear directly from you about how things are going.
While I wish I could say everything at Stuber is absolute perfection, I know that true growth comes from honest reflection. Our goal is to celebrate what is working well while continually striving to improve Stuber for our students and families.
I hope you will take a few minutes to complete our 1st Nine Weeks Parent Survey. The survey gathers your feedback in four key areas:
Home-to-school communication
How your child is feeling about school
Our community partnership
Your child’s overall progress (academically and social/emotionally)
While you are welcome to submit your feedback anonymously, there is an option to leave your name and contact information. As I analyze survey trends, I often find it helpful to follow up personally to learn more or ask clarifying questions—so if you are comfortable, I would love to know who you are!
As always, we lead with transparency. I will share the overall survey data with both our staff and parent community (removing any personal identifying details, of course). The survey will be open for 2 weeks.
With gratitude,
Mrs. McLain, Principal

Stuber News, Reminders, & Helpful Links
*NEW* Parent Ed Video Library
We know how busy life can get and how hard it can be to attend our in-person Parent Ed & Engage sessions. This year, we’re trying something new! Throughout the school year, we will be releasing short videos covering the same valuable information shared at our live events—available whenever your schedule allows.
Since October is National Bullying Awareness Month, our first video focuses on this important topic. Click the link below to visit our Parent Ed Video Library. We hope you find this new resource helpful, and be on the lookout for our next topic coming next month!
Parent Instructional Walks
Our next round of Parent Instructional Walks will be on Wednesday, October 28th from 8:30-9:30. This is such a powerful opportunity for you to step inside classrooms to see what learning looks like today (it's very different from when we were in school). I take up to 10 parents at a time so sign up now. You must have your background check completed since we will be inside of rooms. Sign up will close on Tuesday and I will email parents who have been selected by Wednesday. I hope to see you there! Parent Instructional Walk Sign Up
It's Fall Festival Week!
Our PTO is hosting our annual Fall Festival this Friday from 5:30-7:30. We need YOU to help make it a success. Consider signing up to host a trunk or volunteer a bit of your time to ensure everything runs smoothly! See you there!
Calling All Parents!
We are looking to partner with parents who work in various industries to come talk with our students about your work. One of our goals is to try to build bridges between school and the real world by connecting student learning to different jobs and professions. Further, if you have a hobby that you would like to share with students (playing an instrument, sport, knitting etc.) we could use you too! Just fill out this quick form and come be a guest teacher with us!

Student, Teacher, and Parent Shout Outs!
One of the things we love to do is shout out our Stuber community. We have such wonderful people that help to support our school; we want to make sure they hear about it. Here's how we handle each one of these:
Student SPARK Acievements
Student Shout Outs will be highlighted by our Stuber Broadcasting Team twice per month. This will honor student achievements outside of school. We know our students are doing some pretty incredible things with Boy/Girl Scouts, sports, dance, cheer, theater, academics, etc. and we want to celebrate them. All you need to do is a quick write up so our news crew can tell the story. Feel free to add a picture. Unfortuantely videos are too large to send through Google form. Student Shout Outs will begin in September.
Teacher and Staff Shout Outs
Our teachers and staff work so hard and there are often things they do behind the scenes that we would never know. We would love to share the love with them through your words and encouragement. All you have to do is fill out the quick form and we will take care of the rest. I can tell you this absolutely makes their day when I drop a shout out from a parent on their desk. Your words make a difference!
Parent and Community Shout Outs
This is new this year! We have so many wonderful parents who help support our school in the very best ways. If you would like to shout out a parent, fill out the quick form and we will take care of the rest. Our parents deserve to hear how their actions make a big difference in our school.

PTO
I can't say enough great things about our PTO. In my 24 years in education, our Stuber PTO has been the very best! Many of the incredible things you see around our school were made possible by this wonderful organization such as -
- Grade Level Learning Experiences
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- Teacher learning experiences
- House light up letters
- Winter Parties
- End of Year Parties
- 5th Grade Party
- Book vending machine
- Large mats with logo at the front and back of the school
- Recess Equipment
- Spirit Wear
- Student Shirts
- Teacher Grants
If you are new to our school or a returning family member, this is a great organization to join. Let's do it and support our students at the same time!

Stuber Elementary
Stuber Elementary has been named a National Model PLC campus by Solution Tree. Schools are recognized based on strict criteria, including demonstration of a commitment to PLC concepts, implementation of these concepts for at least three years, and clear evidence of improved student learning over that period. Once measurable results can be seen, the school must explain its practices, structures, and culture and submit its application for consideration by the PLC Review Committee.
BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.
ABOUT PROSPER ISD
Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.
🫶 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS
In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.
And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
