Take Flight
December 7, 2024
Greetings
All of a sudden, it is December! We send best wishes to our friends and supporters during the holiday season.
Take Flight in the Valley News
In case you missed it, this is a link to the 12.6.24 Valley News article about Take Flight. Thanks to Chris Dolan and James Patterson for their coverage.
Our Donors
The generous gift from the Byrne Foundation was mentioned, but we regret that the article failed to mention the tremendous community support we have received. Local donations have been received from the Lebanon Rotary Club, Mascoma Bank/Steve Christy, the Hypertherm HOPE Foundation, the Couch Family Foundation, Cape Air, Black House Real Estate, CR Control Systems, several individual donors, and a great response to the NH Gives opportunity in June.
Regional donations have come from the Aviation Museum Board of Directors, the CDFA, Congressional Directed spending from the US Federal Budget, and Slusser Matching Funds for the NH Gives campaign. The NH Aviation Museum has done a tremendous job fundraising, and Take Flight would not be possible without this amazing support.
Visitors to the Hangar
Hanover Street School Kindergarteners
Ian's mom, Christie Lucier, brought her adorable kindergarten students to the hangar. Their great enthusiasm was demonstrated by questions like, "Will it have rockets?"
Thanks for being our cutest visitors ever.
Edare
After a field trip to their offices, Lebanon's company Edare sent associates to visit the hangar. They were very impressed with the whole operation!
Edare provides manufacturing and product development services intended to transition innovative technologies into low- and medium-volume production. From the Latin edare (pronounced ē-där-ā) meaning “to bring forth”, Edare is a spin-off of Creare, a leading engineering R&D firm with over a 50-year history of innovation. Edare was founded to enable critical technologies to leap from R&D to delivered products, especially for novel products with high engineering content or specialized applications.
In the Hangar
The Sound of Music
There are two more chances to see The Sound of Music - tonight at 7:00 and Sunday at 1:00. Don't miss it! You will see Rebecca and Kyle on stage, Tomas working tech in the background and Chip in the pit orchestra. Mentors Patrick and Paul are also in the pit! It is an outstanding production - don't miss it!
