Maple Run Unified School District will be conducting a test of our BrightArrow communication system on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This test helps us ensure that we can communicate quickly, efficiently, and effectively with all staff and families when important information or emergencies arise.

What is BrightArrow?

BrightArrow is Maple Run’s system for sending important updates to families and staff. It allows us to keep everyone informed about school events, schedule changes, emergencies, and other essential information.

How Maple Run uses BrightArrow:

• Non-urgent messages (announcements, reminders, updates) are sent Monday - Friday at 5:00 PM via email only.

• Urgent or time-sensitive messages (school closings, emergencies, attendance alerts) are sent via email, text, and phone call, but only when necessary.

Action Needed:

Please log into your PowerSchool account and go to Forms → Contact Information - Annual Verification Form to confirm that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date before the Monday, September 8th, 5:00 PM test communication. This ensures you receive messages in the way you prefer.

If your information needs to be updated and you cannot access PowerSchool, please contact your student’s school registrar.

Update- This summer, we shared in our “Welcome Letter” that students in grades 5–8 will be taking an interest-based survey when they return to school. In the coming days, we will be asking students to complete the survey to help us determine which opportunities they are most interested in for the first round.

Additional details, along with your child’s WIN Block schedule, will be sent home soon.

The first round of WIN Blocks will begin on September 8th.

We wanted to take a moment to let families know that attendance can be reported to Michelle Dow by calling 752-2600 or by email at satec-attendance@maplerun.org should your child be out sick, coming in late from an appointment or for other attendance questions that you may have.

We'd also like to remind families that when sending in notes to school to please include both first and last name of your child and the name of their homeroom teacher.
