Your Student's Journey to Graduation and a Bright Future

The Oroville Union High School District (OUHSD) is excited to introduce the Map to Success: Your Student's Journey to Graduation and a Bright Future, a comprehensive guide designed to help students achieve their academic goals and prepare for life beyond high school. Whether you're just starting your journey or nearing graduation, the Map to Success lays out a clear path, from building foundational skills to confidently stepping into your future.

Here’s an overview of the journey:

  1. Build a Strong Foundation (Early High School)
Focus on literacy, numeracy, and study habits to create a solid academic base. Meet with your counselor to set initial goals and learn about graduation requirements.

  2. Sharpen Your Skills (Early-Mid High School)
Strengthen academics, explore career options through internships or Career Technical Education (CTE), and enhance skills like resilience, teamwork, and communication.

  3. Set Goals, Seek Support, Stay Focused (Mid High School)
Work closely with mentors and counselors, build goal-setting and planning skills, and leverage school resources to stay motivated and on track.

  4. Plan for What’s Next (Late High School)
Whether it’s college, trade school, the military, or entering the workforce, use this time to finalize plans, prepare with available resources, and remain flexible to new opportunities.

  5. Graduation and Beyond (Final Steps)
Celebrate this milestone and approach your next chapter with confidence, independence, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Students are encouraged to connect with their counselors to start planning their personalized pathway today.

Learn more about the OUHSD Map to Success and access additional resources at www.ouhsd.org/maptosuccess.

Together, let’s set the course for a bright future!
