A Message From Dr. Cannon
Happy Friday!
As we approach Thanksgiving, Iām reminded of how fortunate I am to be the principal of such a caring and committed school community. Our teachers work tirelessly to support and inspire your children, and your partnership strengthens that work every day. Iām truly grateful to lead this wonderful team and school.
Career Day today for 2nd through 5th grade was AWESOME! We had many volunteers from all different careers that shared their expertise with us. I want to send a special shout-out to Mrs. Heidel for all of her hard work planning such a successful event!
We had a fun spirit week for Read-A-Thon. Please encourage your students to read throughout the break and log their minutes. Completed logs are due on Tuesday, December 2nd and students will receive their prizes on Friday, December 5th.
I hope your family has an enjoyable and restful Thanksgiving Break. We look forward to seeing your students back in the building on Monday, December 1st.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kirsten Cannon, Principal

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is filling up! Please encourage your student to visit the lost and found if they have misplaced a lunchbox or article of clothing.
Any items not claimed by winter break will be donated.
Also, please make sure your child's name is written on the tag so that we can ensure lost items get back to students. Thank you!

Hello parents and guardians! Our career day was a success! Students enjoyed rotating between stations and learning about careers that they had chosen. There were a lot of smiles and laughter, and students had a lot of great questions for our volunteers. We are already thinking about next year! :)
Outside of career day, we have been busy in all grades learning about emotions and feelings and how those have a story to tell about what we are experiencing. We are learning coping skills and learning how to identify when friends are feeling big emotions without actually using the words.
We continue to work on our building wide PBIS expectations and we have been focusing on the theme of safety in November. Students continue to earn their Bogan Brave tickets for character traits we have already learned and it is exciting to see their faces when they receive tickets and get to turn them in. They love the positive recognition for being a leader!
As a reminder, if your student needs anything at all, please donāt hesitate to reach out! I can be reached at the following contact information:

There is also a google form you can complete and I can follow up with details on support for your student.
Nurse's Notes
Updated October 24th
Hi Bogan Families!
Cold and flu season are officially here and I wanted to share with you the guidelines on when to keep your sick children at home. This chart touches on more than just cold and flu but is a good reminder to all when we need to stay home and when we are able to return back to school.
Please be sure if your child is out sick to call and let our attendance line know they will not be at school. Also, if your child has a doctor's note for excused days, have your child drop that off to the front office.
Please click the photo below for information from the CDC.
