Celebrating our School Leaders
this October
October is Principals' Appreciation Month
October marks National Principals Month, a time to recognize the educators who lead our eight schools with dedication and vision.
Our principals beyond shaping academic programs, they also set the tone for school culture, respond to daily challenges with patience and clarity, and work to ensure every student feels supported. They arrive early, stay late, and carry the weight of countless decisions that affect children, families, and staff.
This month, we acknowledge the leadership of Mr. Evangelos Valsamis, Mrs. Emily Heilman, Mrs. Jacquline East, Mrs. Sara Sutera, Mrs. Nichole Jones, Dr. Bob Pape, Ms. Michelle West, and Mrs. Heather Jenkins .Together, they bring their educational experience to our almost 4,000 students across our communities.
Their work often goes unseen. They manage budgets, navigate policies, mediate conflicts, and plan for the future while maintaining focus on what matters most: creating environments where children can learn and grow.
If your child's principal has made a difference in your family's experience, consider sending a brief email or note of thanks this month. These small gestures carry significant weight for leaders who pour tremendous energy into their schools. You may also send a message via this form to include it on the school website and social media this month:
We are fortunate to have principals who approach their work with skill, care, and commitment to excellence.
