Delton Kellogg Schools appreciates your support for our athletic teams. To insure everyone enjoys these events, we ask that you do not bring outside equipment to the games. This includes footballs, soccer balls, mitts etc. Students are asked to be seated in the bleachers with their friends and family.

Thank you - Athletic Department

Delton Kellogg Middle School is proud to offer resources to our students that need help with assignments. One of our dedicated teachers is available to help with questions and provide guidance on available resources. Students can catch up on past due assignments or utilize this time to build skills for successful study habits.

Beginning this year, KickStart is asking that any deposits of $20 or more be clearly marked by a parent or guardian expressly stating it is for the KickStart Program. We want to ensure that the money being sent with your children is designated for their account and not for another school activity.

Hello DKMS families! We've gotten through another great week here in the middle school!

Starting next week Wednesday 10/25, our school will be having Halloween Spirit Days. Each day will have a different theme. Please make sure each outfit is school appropriate. The following costume items are not allowed in school:

• Weapons: toy guns, knives, swords, long sharp plastic nails, ninja weaponry (nunchucks, throwing stars, bow staff, or swords)
• Masks
• Costumes that do not meet the length and coverage requirements from the Student Handbook

The Halloween Spirit Days will be as follows:

• Wednesday, October 25th: Meme Day, dress up like your favorite Meme
• Thursday, October 26th: No Rhyme No Reason, you and a friend dress up as two rhyming words (cat, bat: one person dresses up like a cat and the other a bat)
• Friday, October 27th: White Lies, wear a white shirt and write a white lie on it: "I love vegetables", "Turns in Homework", etc.
• Monday, October 30th: Dress like a Ghost
• Tuesday, October 31st: Halloween Costume

6th, 7th, and 8th Grade boys basketball will start on Monday October 23rd. Practice is from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the middle school gym. Players need to wear shorts, a t-shirt, and basketball shoes. Please make sure you have a current physical turned into the High School Athletic Office and you have paid the participation fee.

Each week we do a DKMS Panther Pride Paws drawing. Students earn these paws by meeting our SK2R expectations of being Safe, Kind, Respectful, and Responsible while at school. The winners are able to come and select a treat or drink from our prize cart. I would like to congratulate this week's winners: Christian Mix, Aubree Clark, Penny Reynolds, Summer Bhola, Jerrit Rench, Chloe Antolovich, Adrian Farrah, and Ty Anderson. Great job Panthers and keep up the great work!

I would like to thank all of our middle school and district staff, students, parents, and community for all of their hard work in helping make DKMS a great place to be! We cannot help our students become successful without everyone's help and I greatly appreciate it! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a great weekend! (GO BLUE!!!)

Just Can't Hide that Panther Pride!!!
