VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!

Who & What:

All Juniors & Seniors (even if they don't attend prom) and their dates are invited to Post Prom. Christ Community Church generously allows us to host Post Prom in their huge venue. This fantastic space allows us to have separate areas for food & drinks, karaoke, a casino (including bingo), and lots of giant inflatables. Raffle tickets are acquired easily throughout the evening and offer the chance to win great prizes. It's casual and crazy and a blast! And EVERYTHING is included for one low ticket price (just $25 if purchased in advance). Check out this Reel from 2024! or this one: Casino Fun!

Where & When:

Post Prom will be held at Christ Community Church on Randall Road after Prom, from 10:30pm Saturday, May 2rd until 2:30am on Sunday, May 3rd.

Why:

We are passionate about providing a safe space for our students to make good choices and have a memorable celebration.

How you can help:

PEOPLE

The event planning is broken down into committees. At this time, we need chairs to head up the following committees:

TICKET SALES: Coordinate ticket sales at the school and student check-in at the event. We use Eventbrite for ticket sales.

SECURITY: Coordinate with facility staff and security volunteers to ensure safety of students.

CASINO: Set up the casino at CCC and manage the bingo and card games during the evening.

GAMES: Coordinate volunteer supervision at inflatable games.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SERVING AS A COORDINATOR, PLEASE CONTACT JULIE GOVREAU at jagjd2004@gmail.com if you would be willing to volunteer for any of the above positions.

VOLUNTEERS:

It takes a lot of volunteers to staff this event - parents, older siblings, alumni, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends - all are welcome!! We have many parents of alumni that return to volunteer because it is such a fun event for students and volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please sign up!

PRIZES

We are only able to host this wonderful event because of the support of the generous families at SCN. We realize not everyone is in a position to help financially, but if you are, we are grateful for your support. In addition to all the fun activities we have planned, we hope to have an epic prize raffle for the students who attend. In previous years, this has been a favorite part of the evening. If you are able to help financially, we have an Amazon Wish List which makes donating a breeze!

Click here to check it out:

Wish List

If you'd like to donate something not on the Wish List - please reach out to Julie Govreau at jagjd2004@outlook.com.

DONATIONS

If you wish to make a monetary donation this can be done via Push Coin. Donations are also accepted via check mailed to SCNHS PTO, 255 Redgate Rd. St. Charles, IL 60175.

If you own a business and would like to sponsor any of our games, please contact Julie Govreau at jagjd2004@gmail.com.

We are expecting to have an EPIC party on May 2nd! Be part of it!

THANK YOU North Star Community!

Rooted & Radical - Took 2nd Place

Congratulations to Tess Arendt, Lillianna Rederer, Leah Brett, and Alex Czerwinski!!

Took 2nd Place

Thank you to Siko who offers encouragement and who drove us to the city on Saturday AND Sunday through the sleet at 11:00pm! Thank you to Becca who’s been crazy supportive. Thank you to Ben Wagoner and Drew Echales for tech support. To Brigette Smith for walking 5.75 miles with us to the preliminary bout. To Quinlan who helped me navigate public transportation. To Lindsay Amezotchi for coming out to cheer us on late last night. To our Creative Writing Club, who all work so hard on their craft and to create an accepting community. To the English 10 teachers who have inspired these students to become slam poets. And to all of you who create this wonderful school where students can reach a potential they never imagined.

Peer Tutoring

March 25th

  • Meets in the LRC at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm -- Room
  • We are also online in a Google Meet, which is good for those students who can't get a ride to school, who have a quick question, or who are absent from school.
  • Students just need to put the nickname "peertutoringscn" into the code/nickname spot.
  • Students do not need to sign-up ahead of time, but they are welcome to email me. If they are in search of a specific subject/class, and I can check our tutor roster to see if we have coverage for that subject/class.

Tutoring is provided courtesy of our junior and senior National Honor Society students.

You are welcome to join PT, too! If you are looking to offer some after-hours office hours, feel free to join us in the LRC Wednesday nights.
