Traffic flow info and reminders

  • If you are exiting and going toward the elementary, please exit onto Pritchard.
  • If you are traveling toward Sugar Tree, please stay in the outside lane in the traffic loop and turn back right through the parking lot in the front to exit to the right on 1189.
  • Please be mindful that traffic will likely be a little rough as we settle into the new school year. Please use caution as you pull back onto 1189.
  • We are actively working with TXDOT on a plan to address the intersection of Pritchard Lane and FM 1189. Know that this is a project that involves work on road infrastructure on 1189 and Pritchard Lane in addition to adding a traffic light. Please keep in mind, these types of projects take time to plan and secure funding. There will not be a traffic light this school year.

Please note that we start and end each day before other campuses.

As you begin thinking about your drop-off and pick-up routines.

Bus Riders

Students must be listed on the bus list to ride the bus. We will not allow friends to ride home with normal bus riders this year. If someone is going home with your child, you will need to make arrangements to pick them up from school. Thank you for understanding.

What to do if needing to change how your child gets home...

If you need to change how your child is getting home, please CALL the office rather than sending a Remind message to the classroom teacher or texting them. This will help us to keep students safe and accounted for. Additionally, we are asking that if you need to make changes in the way your child is getting home you try to notify us in the office by no later than 2:45. The office number is 817-594-8017. Thank you for your help with this.

Parents must come into the building to pick up their children. We will not be able to send them out when you pull up. Thank you for helping us keep kids safe.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

PBIS is a proactive, rather than reactive approach to discipline. Simply put, we will focus on building positive relationships and teaching appropriate student behavior. This summer our leadership team worked to create a set of expectations for our students in our common areas of the building. We have developed lessons to share with our students so we are consistent across campus. Our guidelines for success are:

S: safe--for ourselves and others at all times

O: outstanding--giving your best. This is Brock...being the best is what we do.

A: attitude--positive

R: respect--golden rule (Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.)

We will use a reward system for those caught SOARing. Students will earn EAGLE wings to collect for rewards.

If you would like to see an overview of our PBIS handbook, please click the button below.
