Academy Avenue Elementary School

Dear Academy Families & Friends,

April is here and it is certainly feeling a lot more like Spring. Report cards and specialist summaries (in the Virtual Backpack are now available for all students in grades 1-5. Our fourth grade team did an excellent job on the ELA MCAS. Grade 5 starts this week and grade 3 the week after.

• Parent/Teacher conferences are on Tuesday night (in-person) and Wednesday afternoon (virtual).

• The book fair is back with shopping days on Monday and Tuesday and buying days on Thursday and the following Monday.

• Art Show exhibits are also out for viewing on Tuesday night as well as Mrs. Ratta has transformed Academy's hallways in to a beautiful display of the students' Artist Study!

• ELA MCAS Exams begin this week for our 5th grade students on Tuesday. Please make sure they are on time and prepared on exam days. Chromebooks need to be charged and ll other tech devices need to be left at home. They have worked so hard this year, I know they are going to do great!!! Math & Science exams (grade 5 only) will be later in May.

• The International Festival is coming on May 16. Please click here for more information. It is one of our favorite nights of the year.
