From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This month, we are focusing on Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind! This week, our students have been learning about what it means to begin with the end in mind.
This habit encourages us to think about what we want to accomplish before we get started. Great leaders set goals and make choices that help them reach those goals. We are encouraging students to think about how they use their time wisely, set a learning goal for themselves, and make choices that their future selves will be proud of!
I want to continue to emphasize the importance of coming to school every day and establishing healthy sleep habits. Getting enough rest and arriving at school each day ready to learn are important choices that help students be successful.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by asking your child:
What is one learning goal you are working toward?
How can you use your time wisely?
What is one choice you can make today that your future self will be proud of?
How does getting enough sleep help you have a successful day at school?
Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students grow as leaders, learners, and kind members of our community!
Take care,
Emily Varghese
Principal

Attendance Incentives
Present Potatoes
Each week, classrooms that achieve a 95% attendance rate or higher will earn a potato piece to add to their classroom potato.
When a classβs potato is 50% completed, they will earn a classroom reward of their choice.
When their potato is 100% full, the class will earn another celebration and be crowned the βPresent Potatoβ of the week!
Congratulations to the following classes on earning another piece for their potato: Ms. Goss, Mrs. Grossmayer, Ms. O'Brien, Mrs. Schloss, Mrs. Hermann, Mrs. Agenlian, Ms. Cane, Mrs. Mohundro, Mrs. Boscarino, Mrs. Kieffer, Mrs. Marchetti, Mrs. Nickels, Mrs. Prince, Ms. Redmer, Mr. Toulon, and Mrs. Devore!
Special congratulations to the following classes for a 100% attendance rate: Ms. Goss, Mrs. Grossmayer, Ms. O'Brien, and Mrs. Schloss!
Full Nest
Full Nest: Each classroom has their own Hawk's Nest. The tree holds ten hawk nests, and each time everyone in the class is in attendance they can fill in one of the nests. Once all ten nests are filled in, the class receives a large hawk feather, and a reward of their choice.
Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is growing. We will have our Lost and Found in the foyer during conferences, but in the meantime, students can pick up lost items in the Multi-Purpose Room.
*** As colder weather approaches, please label your student's items with their names. It makes it much easier to get lost items returned. ***
