Letter from the Superintendent

Dear Nanuet Families and Community,

And just like that ... it's June!

We have survived the worst winter in years, the chilliest spring in recent memory and we are now enjoying the gorgeous weather and spring blooms everywhere. We are winding down in many ways, yet still as busy as ever. This month our Nanuet News! is filled with fun photos and highlights from every kind of classroom and after-school activity imaginable. The smiles and joyful expressions across the district paint a picture of students loving learning and enjoying the many opportunities for enrichment that exist in our schools.

Thank you to our Nanuet taxpayers for recently passing our budget, which provides the financial resources needed to support our high-quality schools. Facilities projects and work are scheduled for the summer, especially at Highview Elementary School, but we will still host summer camps across the district so that our Knights of all ages can experience summer fun right here in our schools.

We send our best wishes for the many end-of-the-year events to all students and families!

Sincerely,

Lisa Brady, Ed.D.
Superintendent

"Just keep swimming!” From Barr to Kakiat Park, the fifth-grade trout have begun the next stage of their lives. Alongside teachers Heather Schucker and Stacey Lang, students gathered at the bank of the Mahwah River last month to release the fish they’ve been raising in their classroom since hatching at the start of the school year. H Games

Let the “H Games” begin! Our Highview Golden Knights had a blast during their annual springtime field day. From the kickball field to the obstacle course, and of course the bouncy slide, these third- and fourth-graders had fun playing games and running relays with their classmates. What made it even better? The family and friends who came out to cheer them on! See photos here.
