Message from our Principal
Dear Bulldog Families,
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, Washington-Caldwell School District will conduct our first of four scheduled ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) safety drills on Tuesday, October 27th. This initial drill will focus on evacuation procedures, weather permitting.
Over the past several weeks, our staff have been reviewing ALICE safety expectations and preparing students for these important practice drills. Our goal is to ensure that students are prepared, not scared, by helping them understand how to respond safely and confidently in an emergency. All instruction and preparation are developmentally appropriate, with information and expectations tailored to students at each grade level, from our youngest 4K learners through eighth grade.
Throughout the remainder of the school year, we will conduct three additional ALICE drills to continue reinforcing our safety procedures. We will communicate with families in advance of each drill to keep you informed and provide an opportunity to address any questions or concerns.
The Washington-Caldwell School District will hold its Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing on Monday, October 26, at 6:00 p.m. here at Washington-Caldwell School. During this meeting, the School Board will review the proposed budget for the 2026–27 school year, providing an overview of the district's financial priorities, anticipated revenues, and expenditures. This annual meeting is an important opportunity to share information about the district's financial planning and our continued commitment to responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
We encourage our families and community members to attend and learn more about how district resources are allocated to support student learning, staffing, facilities, and daily operations. Your interest and involvement are important as we work together to maintain a strong, fiscally responsible school district that continues to provide high-quality educational opportunities for all of our students
Thank you for your continued trust and support of Washington-Caldwell School District
Sincerely,
Kevin.
