Brief Message From the Principal

Dear JES Community,

We’ve just wrapped up another full and productive week here at Jayhawk Elementary! We are proud to announce that our students have completed their final round of Fastbridge End-of-Year Benchmark Assessments. These assessments help us see how far each child has come in reading and math, and we are already celebrating the progress we’ve seen across all grade levels. Way to go, Jayhawks!

Next week, May 5th–9th, we will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a special time to honor the incredible teachers who pour their hearts into helping our students learn and grow every day. We encourage you and your child to take a moment to show their appreciation—whether it’s with a kind note, a drawing, or just sharing what makes their teacher so terrific. A little appreciation goes a long way!

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, there’s a lot to be excited about. With just a couple of weeks left, students are already looking forward to the last day of school on Thursday, May 15th. It’s been an amazing year, and we’re so thankful for the continued support of our families every step of the way.
