August 2025 Hope Rising - Building Tomorrow's Leaders Today
A Message from the Superintendent
Dear Coupeville School District Families,
As we prepare for another exciting school year, I'm thrilled to share the incredible opportunities and growth happening across our district. This year's theme, Hope Rising, reflects our commitment to elevating every student's potential through expanded programs, enhanced support systems, and innovative learning experiences.
Our dedication to research-based practices continues to drive our decision-making, ensuring that every initiative we implement is grounded in evidence and designed to maximize student success. The exciting developments outlined below represent our ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding education for all our students.
🌟 Welcoming New Leadership🌟
We are delighted to introduce two outstanding new administrators joining our leadership team:
Rebecca (Becki) Cays - Middle School Principal & Athletic Director
Becki brings extensive instructional knowledge and a deep commitment to supporting teachers in the classroom. Her comprehensive understanding of instruction and student learning will help enhance student outcomes. She will be instrumental supporting our Athletics 6-12 and we look forward to her systems approach to leadership.
Dan Berard - High School Principal & CTE Director
Dan combines strong principal leadership experience with expertise in building comprehensive systems of support for students and programs. His understanding of educational operations and resource management will be essential in expanding our Career and Technical Education offerings and ensuring our high school students have robust pathways to success. We are thrilled to have his leadership in our district!
Both leaders are committed to our mission of ensuring every student feels valued, challenged, and prepared for their next steps.
