Class of 2026 Update

Graduation for the Spring Lake Park High School Class of 2026 will take place on Friday, May 29 at 1 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the Lee and Penny Anderson Arena on the campus of the University of St. Thomas. Over the next few months, we will share more information about tickets, parking, and other details as we work to create a great event for our graduates and their families.

We began planning right away after learning on October 28 that 3M Arena at Mariucci would no longer host high school graduations. We reached out to and held several potential locations. Since then, our team has visited the sites, gathered information, and compared the good and challenging parts of each option.

Many other high schools are facing the same issue and have been on a similar journey. We explored several venues, including U.S. Bank Stadium, Target Center, Allianz Field, Aldrich Arena, and also a return to Panther Stadium. We considered how many people we could seat, accessibility, parking, costs, weather, and available dates. Every location had both positives and drawbacks.

While we are confident in our plan to use the arena at St. Thomas for 2026, we will continue to look at other options for 2027 and beyond. This year, we are on a tight timeline. We know families need to know graduation details in order to make other plans.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are excited about the Lee and Penny Anderson Arena and our partnership with the University of St. Thomas. We look forward to a great event and all of the celebrations ahead for the Class of 2026.

Proud to be a panther,
