Cherrydale Primary School

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families,

Get ready to boogie for a good cause! Our PTA Dance-for-a-Cause fundraiser is happening next Friday, October 31st, and we can't wait to see our Cherrydale Cheetahs dancing to support our school!

Funds raised from this event help the PTA provide teacher grants, fun and enriching field trips, and school spirit t-shirts for every student. Thank you for helping us make Cherrydale a great place to grow and learn! There’s still time to donate! Every contribution makes a difference and directly supports our students and staff.

On the day of the event, students are encouraged to wear their Cherrydale spirit wear or school colors to show their cheetah pride. Costumes are welcome, too – just no blood, masks, or fake weapons, please.

Let’s dance, have fun, and make a difference together!

Warm Regards,

Christine Firth, Principal

Make-Up Picture Day is Monday, October 27th!

If your student needs a Make-Up Picture, ask the teacher to send your child for a picture. Please send them to school “Camera Ready” and make sure they bring their SMILE!

Make-Up pictures may be taken for 3 reasons:

1. Your student missed the previous school picture day

2. You want to purchase school pictures, but would prefer a new pose

3. You want a different picture in the yearbook (if applicable)

It's completely FREE to have your child photographed again. After Picture Day you'll receive an email link to see your child's new pictures, as well as their previous pictures.

No purchase required - Pay only if you order!

Questions: info@classactportraits.com

We are looking for 1-2 volunteers for Monday, 10/27 9:45-1:00pm. Please email cherrydaleoffice@steilacoom.k12.wa.us.

Smile On!

When your student will be late, leaving early, or absent altogether, please notify the office. If the Tardy, Early Release or Absence is due to an appointment, please bring a note from the doctor's office.

You MUST be a CLEARED volunteer to help with any events or to participate in anything on the Cherrydale Campus.

To get clearance so you can help with upcoming PTA events (or ANY Cherrydale events), click Volunteer at Cherrydale. The process can take up to 2 weeks. Once you are cleared you can let the PTA know of your interest and availability.

Accessing PTA info has become easier! Everything you need is on their Cherrydale PTA page. One stop shopping with all their links for joining the PTA, volunteer sign ups, fundraising and more!

Please consider joining the Cherrydale PTA. The best part about the PTA is that you can be as involved as much or as little as you'd like or can be! We have so many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, it's easy to get involved!

There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

We believe that all of us want the same things for our kids and these values unite us. This program serves to bring communities closer together based on these values-based goals. Ultimately, our purpose is to change the country for the better by doing our small part to provide support to our educators and encouragement to our children.

Please email David Stailey at cherrydalewatchdogs@yahoo.com and CC the CherrydaleOffice@steilacoom.k12.wa.us on the email so we can make sure your email is getting to the right place.
