In the month of February, we had 81 total behavior referrals with 40 major and 41 minor behaviors. 42 different students received a behavior referral. Physical contact/aggression, defiance, disruption, and disrespect were the most commonly referred behaviors. Our behavior data triangle still looks strong at this point in the year with 85.9% of students receiving 1 or fewer behavior referrals, 9.4% receiving 2-5 referrals, and 4.6% receiving more than 5 referrals.

The SWPBS team has two big events planned for the month of March. First, any student that does not receive a behavior referral in March will be invited to a special event in the beginning of April. This will be announced to students at our Citizen of the Month Assembly. Please try to remind students of this opportunity over the course of the month. Second, we will be holding a rock-paper-scissor tournament to have some fun with March Madness at the end of the month.

We ask that you review with your child appropriate behavior at school.

This Month in Classroom Champions is all about Feedback!

This month in Classroom Champions, Rosie will be talking about another Feedback.

This month, our students will learn that feedback is a critical component of communication, which requires both active listening and positive criticism. The art of giving feedback is providing it in a way that is honest yet motivating.

Our March Citizen of the Month will focus on someone who shows or receives feedback.
