Morrow's Message
š¾ Happy New Year, Cubs & Families! š¾
Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope your winter break was restful, joyful, and filled with special moments with family and friends. While breaks are always appreciated, thereās something truly special about our school coming back to lifeāand we have missed our Cubs! Our staff will be back together on Monday for a professional development day, and we are so excited to welcome students back to school on Tomorrow, 1/6.
This time of year is one of my favorites. Students return refreshed and excited to reconnect with friends, routines, and learning. Our classrooms once again fill with curiosity, laughter, and that wonderful energy that makes our school such a joyful place to be.
January and February are powerful months for learning. Together, we focus on strengthening skills, building confidence, and continuing the strong routines established during the first half of the year. This is a time when growth really takes off, and itās incredible to watch our students rise to new challenges and celebrate their progress along the way.
I also want to acknowledge something that may be on many familiesā minds. As a district, we are facing another budget challenge, and later this month the School Board will be making decisions about what next school year may look like and how the district plans to address budget deficits. While these conversations are important, I want to emphasize how critical it is that we continue to come together, lean on one another, and remain positive and hopeful. Our students look to the adults around them for reassurance, and we will do our very best to ensure that uncertainty or anxiety about future changes does not translate to our kiddos.
Please know that I am always available to meet with families to talk through any questions or concerns you may have. Open communication and partnership matter deeply to me. You are welcome to email me or call the school office to schedule an appointmentāI am happy to connect.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. When families and school work together, amazing things happen for children. Weāre looking forward to all that 2026 holds and canāt wait to continue learning, growing, and celebrating successesābig and smallāalongside your Cubs.
Hereās to a fresh start, renewed energy, and an exciting second half of the school year. Weāre so glad to be back together. ššš¾
Warmly,
Audra Morrow

This week we are taking a break from the visual arts and celebrating some singers!
Ms. Jane's 3rd grade had several groups of carolers singing and spreading cheer
before we left for break and it was lovely and joyful and we hope it becomes a new tradition.
What's Going on with the GT Cubs Crew?

(We will stay indoors if it is extremely cold/icy/windy.)
On that note...
The nurse's office could use donations of gently used (or new) gloves,
stretchy pants like sweats and leggings in K-3rd grade sizes.
Donations can be dropped off in the front office.
