Moseley Mustangs Newsletter
October 4 | A Note from your Administrators
Dear Mustang Families,
We loved feeling a little bit of fall creeping in this week. But if you’ve ever worked in education, you may know that October can sometimes feel like a heavy lift. The shine of the newness of the school year has worn off, routines are well established, and there are moments when our staff - and our students - have to dig a little deeper for their energy and motivation.
And yet.
The energy around Moseley this week was full of joy. We had the opportunity to see so many of our staff and students doing the things they love most - a rivalry football game, a beginner orchestra showcase, a Hispanic Heritage Month potluck, and so many other moments of connection throughout our campus.
These opportunities to be involved and to be seen in the Moseley community are not random. They are an intentional part of who we are as a school. We want our students and staff to have places where they can share their talents, find their people, try something new, celebrate one another, and feel like they truly belong.
And, as always, it is an honor to serve the Mustang family. Even on the heavy-lift days, there is so much joy to be found in this place - and we are grateful to be part of it.
Let's RIDE! 🐎

✨Staff Spotlight
Meet: Ms. Briscoe
Riding With: 7th Grade ELAR
The Adult Constant: Ms. Briscoe is one of our adult constants who consistently works to support students and strengthen our campus in so many different ways. As a member of our Guiding Coalition, she helps guide the overarching work of our school with a focus on ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow at high levels.
She is also part of our Behavior Instruction and Response Team, where she helps us look beyond academics to support students in developing the skills and behaviors they need to be successful. As our NJHS sponsor, she helps students set goals, develop leadership skills, serve others, and recognize the responsibility that comes with being a student leader.
Across each of these roles, Ms. Briscoe helps students see what they are capable of and supports them in taking the next steps toward becoming their best selves. We are grateful for the many ways she contributes to the growth of our students and our Moseley community!
My Favorite Thing About Moseley: My favorite thing about Moseley is that I love the people who enter the doors each day. I'm inspired daily by those I work shoulder-to-shoulder with, but also by the amazing things students are doing and learning. Working in education is a reminder to stay committed to lifelong learning, and Moseley is a place that takes risks and dives deep in that belief. I love being a Mustang!
