End of Year Countdown Items Needed!
As we begin our end-of-the-year countdown in May, the students are so excited for the daily surprises and special activities we get to enjoy together! Two of our upcoming countdown surprises include Chalk Time and a fun Glow Party. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate any donations of sidewalk chalk, glow sticks, or other glow items anytime between now and May 11th. These little surprises make the end of the school year extra memorable, and the kids truly look forward to each day. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and special time together!

LIBRARY BOOKS DUE MAY 8th
All library books are due on May 8th! Mrs. Kinsella is asking that all library books be brought back to the library and returned so that she can check them all back in and get the library ready for next year.
Economics Fair Information
We are excited to announce our upcoming Economics Fair on Tuesday, May 19th during the school day! Students will have the opportunity to become âbusiness ownersâ by creating or providing small items to âsellâ to other 2nd grade classes. Items should be simple and low-cost (or no-cost), such as handmade crafts, drawings, bookmarks, or other creative ideas. Students will need to bring approximately 20â30 of their item to ensure they have enough to sell at the fair.
In preparation, students will be earning â2nd grade dollarsâ for positive behavior in classâthe better their behavior, the more money they will have to spend at the fair! Students will also design and create their advertising posters at school to showcase their products. This is a fun, hands-on way for students to learn about goods and services, earning, and spending!

Accessing Grade in HAC
Here is the Click sheet to help if parents have any questions on accessing HAC for grades. It goes into detail about the different sections. The question many parents have is the username and password. All they would do is click this link - the username will be the student's ID number, (lunch number), and the password will be their child's date of birth.
Snack Policy
Please make sure that snacks are in a separate container or bag than their lunchbox. We do snack in the classroom and will not be able to have full lunchboxes out. Please make sure no utensils are needed for snack. We have a lot of students in the school with nut allergies. It is important that nuts are not a part of your child's snack. Thanks for helping keep every child safe!

Please make sure you have communicated to your homeroom teacher by email the day before of last minute changes or by phone to the office to ensure your child is picked up in the correct location. Also if your child is a car rider, please make sure to have your car sign up. It really helps speed up the process of getting kiddos to the correct cars. Just a reminder that 2nd grade car riders (without a younger sibling) will be picked up in the back loop. Walkers will dismiss from the back gym door (near the front of the school). Thank you!!
