Fordland Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! The start of a new year always brings fresh energy, but this year is especially exciting. We are celebrating the traditions and history of Fordland; while also working on new innovations and keeping the focus on Fordland Forward.
Whether you are returning to the Eagle family or joining us for the first time, we are grateful for you. Your partnership and support make our schools strong, and together we are ready to move forward into the new year with goals for growth, learning, and achievement.
As I begin my first year serving Fordland R-III, I look forward to connecting with you. Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself if we cross paths at a game, performance, or community event. I sincerely value knowing our families and community members personally.
Moving forward doesn’t always mean making big changes. Often, it means getting a little better each day: teachers finding new ways to reach students, staff members supporting one another, students accepting new challenges, and families partnering with us to help their children succeed.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for the tremendous support you continue to show our schools. I’m excited about where we are headed and proud that we are moving there together. Fordland Forward!
Sincerely,
Marty Spence
Superintendent
