Please join us in thanking the dedicated school nutrition professionals (Mrs. Miriam & Mrs. Agnes) who help ensure Pomerado students are well fed and ready to learn, regardless of financial circumstances. The Food and Nutrition Department serves more than 17,000 lunches every school day, featuring organic produce and milk from local farms, entrees rich in whole grains and lean protein, and options for varied food preferences. During National School Lunch Week, we recognize and appreciate the important role that nutrition plays in supporting student success.
Our first disaster drill of the year took place on Thursday, and our students and staff did a wonderful job! Everyone followed directions calmly and worked together to practice safety procedures. Included is a photo of some of our great student helpers during the drill.

💥 New Comic Book club starting!
We’re excited to launch a brand-new Comic Book Club for 3rd–5th graders—a fun and inspiring space where students can dive into the world of comics while building their reading, storytelling, and creative skills. Through art and collaboration, members will explore how comics come to life and work together to create some of their own!

Spots are limited, so be sure to submit your child's interest form by October 10! If interest exceeds capacity, we may use a random selection process and consider offering two sessions during the year to accommodate more students. More details will be shared with families soon.

Spots are limited, submit your child's interest form. To make if fair for everyone, spots will be chosen by lottery. Families will be notified once the lottery is complete.
