Jayhawk Families,

Congratulations to the Jayhawk-Linn Varsity Volleyball Team on an incredible regular season finish! The Lady Jayhawks swept Yates Center and Uniontown last night, bringing their overall record to 23-11.

The team finished undefeated in the Three Rivers League, securing their third consecutive TRL Championship! They also earned 3rd place at the competitive St. Mary’s Colgan Tournament this past Saturday.

Monday evening, Jayhawk-Linn High School will host the first round of Regional Volleyball. We are excited to share that a generous donor will cover the cost of admission for all junior high and high school students who attend and sit in the student section.

We encourage our Jayhawk families to come out, wear red, and help us pack the house as we cheer on our volleyball team in their postseason run. Let’s fill the gym with Jayhawk Pride and support our student-athletes! ❤️💛

Congratulations to Celeste Schneider on finishing 7th overall yesterday at the 3-2-1A Substate Girls Golf Tournament at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg! This marks four straight years that Celeste has qualified for the 3-2-1A State Tournament!

Celeste will travel to Salina next week to compete on October 20th and 21st at the Salina Municipal Golf Course in the State Tournament. Great job, Celeste — we are so proud of you! ❤️💛

Jude Wade - Senior

Jude is always kind to everyone around her. She is a hardworking young lady who consistently gives her best and looks out for others. Jude goes out of her way to make people feel included—she opens doors for others, makes sure no one sits alone, and never leaves anyone out. She treats everyone with respect, integrity, and empathy, truly living out our Jayhawk Pride values each day. ❤️💛

Neila Haines - 7th Grade

Neila is kind, respectful, and always follows the rules. She consistently demonstrates what it means to show Jayhawk Pride through her positive attitude and great example for others. ❤️💛

Tuesday Oct 14th photography students visited the Valley View Elk Ranch near Garnett. Students learned about the elk and the ranchers family business. We got a tour and took photos along the way. On Oct 15th the photography students visited the Stonehaven Buffalo Ranch near Paola and got to take photos of Buffalo from the back of a pickup truck. We are studying animal photography, students were safe and had a good time. Be watching for our next activity coming soon.
