GOLDEN HILLS SCHOOL
NOVEMBER 2025
Golden Hills Mission:
Golden Hills Eagles Grow Together, Learn with Passion, Act with Kindness and Change the World!
Letter from the Principal
Dear Golden Hills Families,
The first trimester has officially wrapped up! Parent Conference Week is just around the corner — November 17th–21st. During this week, school will dismiss early at 1:15 p.m. Teachers will be scheduling conferences with families to discuss each student’s progress and goals.
We had such a great time celebrating Red Ribbon Week! The dress-up days were a huge hit, and we loved seeing everyone’s creativity and participation. A big thank you to all the families who joined us for the Halloween Parade — it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces!
Thank you as well to everyone who attended our STEAM Night! It was an amazing evening of hands-on activities, great conversations, and sharing a meal together as a school community.
Our Golden Hills staff continues to work hard each month to design interventions that meet the unique needs of every student.
SOAR Time focuses on Language Arts interventions and extensions. Students are assessed regularly to identify the specific skills they need to strengthen their reading.
EAGLE Time (for fourth grade) focuses on Math interventions — reteaching target standards or providing enrichment for students ready for a challenge.
We’re excited to invite families to our Family Picnic Day on November 21st!
Fourth grade lunch begins at 11:35 a.m.
Fifth grade lunch begins at 12:10 p.m.
Families are welcome to join their students for lunch. Bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy a picnic on the grass! If it rains, we’ll reschedule for a later date. Please remember that visitors must bring their own lunch.
Our next Parent Teacher Group (PTG) / School Site Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 12th. Part of the meeting will include filling bottles with chalk for our upcoming Color Run on Thursday, November 13th from 1:30–2:30 p.m.
The Color Run is a PTG fundraiser that helps send students on a field trip to Cal Skate in May (the total cost for admission and buses is over $3000). Additional funds raised will go toward classroom rewards and grade-level field trips.
Please be sure to contact me if you have any questions or concerns,
Thank you,
Mrs Napoli

Counselors Message:
In the month of November we will be teaching lessons on the Meta Moment Tool. The Meta Moment Tool is used to help us calm ourselves when we are upset and help us to address the problem in a calm and collected manner. Students will learn how to incorporate their “Best Self”. “Best Self” lessons happened in October. These lessons asked students to focus on how they want to be in difficult situations and identify 4 adjectives to describe how they can be their “Best Self”. Students drew self-portraits and wrote their “Best Self” adjectives on them. Please ask your child what adjectives they picked to describe their “Best Self”. It is also helpful to use the Meta Moment Tool at home and have student
