Field Flash

Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you have had a nice week! We were so glad to host many parents this week at our Incoming Kindergarten Orientation. If you weren't able to join us, please know we emailed the presentation slides to families. Contact our main office with any questions.
Congratulations to all our students who participated in Science Olympiad this past weekend! We had a number of Field students who earned medals, as well!

A few reminders:
- Please label your child's coat/jacket. As the weather warms, students start to take off their jackets during recess (and our lost & found grows). We look thru it for labeled items and return those - most items in the lost & found are not labeled.
- On that weather note, please know we direct students to "wear what their grown up sent them with for recess", so please talk with your child about wearing their coat or sweatshirt to recess (or adjust what your child brings to school).
- We continue to have serious safety issues in our Kiss & Go during morning arrival & dismissal. Please remember we are a community and it takes all of us following the rules of the road to ensure student (and adult) safety. Please do not block driveways, fire hydrants, or double park. Also, please do not block crosswalks with your car.
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Goodman
Principal

Upcoming Holidays
There are two upcoming holidays to acknowledge:
Passover - Evening of Saturday, April 12th to the evening on Sunday, April 20th
Passover is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from ancient Egypt. It is a time to reflect on freedom and resilience. The week long-festival is observed with a number of rituals, including the traditional passover meal known as Seder.
Easter - Christian and Eastern Orthodox Easter is on Sunday, April 20th. Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The day is also known as Resurrection Sunday. On this day, Christians attend church services, have family gatherings, and there are activities like egg hunts.
AHA Kids Heart Challenge
The AHA Kids Heart Challenge is here through April 30! Our students are learning how to keep their hearts and brains healthy and raising funds to help kids with special hearts. The Field School goal is $6,000 and we are already almost halfway there with $2,400 raised. Way to Go!
We're asking all families to register and complete Finn's mission to learn Hands-Only CPR. All students who register will receive a free wristband, and students who raise money will earn fun prizes!
Here’s how you can help:
- Register: Click here or download the AHA Schools app.
- Complete Finn’s Mission: to learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of stroke. Share with family and friends through social media, text and/or email so they too can learn how to save a life.
Thank you for supporting our school and students in saving lives!
