The Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

It's is amazing to think that we're nearing the end of 2022 and the holiday season is upon us. Term 2 has officially started and the mid-point of the school year is just a few school weeks away. Over these past few months, the students and staff have been working incredibly hard making great progress with teaching and learning as well as implementing the new reading resource, Wit & Wisdom. We appreciate all of the support at home with ST Math and Lexia Core 5, as well as making time for nightly reading...the at-home work makes a world of difference. Here are a few points to remember regarding the week ahead:

The Winter Music Concert for Grades 3-5 is tomorrow, Monday, December 19, 2022 @ 10AM.
Winter Workshop is December 20, 2022. The AAPC will be putting out a schedule and looking for volunteers to help. There are several great raffles as well. Thanks to all who help make this possible.
Spirit week for all grades kicks off tomorrow with wearing winter colors, blues, whites, and silver.
Report Cards and progress reports for students in grades 1-5 will be releases via the Aspen Family portal on Friday, December 23, 2022. Families can log in and download copies for their children's report cards for term 1.
Happy Hanukkah to all our families celebrating this season of lights!
Last but not least, the Mitten Tree is back in the Lobby. Please donate new hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves to help those in need this winter season.

Thank you for all of your support!

Mr. Higgins
