To ensure a positive and comfortable experience for everyone, we kindly ask for your support in helping your student follow our dress code guidelines:
- This is a semi-formal event: dress shirts, ties, bowties, dresses, skirts, dress pants are all appropriate for this event
- Sleeves must be at least three fingers wide
- Dresses, skirts, and shorts must be fingertip length while moving (Outfits that ride up above the minimum requirement are not acceptable)
- Backs must be covered
- Necklines should not be low-cut
- Attire should be moderately conservative
- No references to drugs, alcohol or other content that is prohibited or inappropriate for the school environment
We appreciate your help in ensuring students select dance attire that meets these expectations. Our dress code will be enforced at the event, and students who do not comply will be asked to wear a jacket for the duration of the dance or change into appropriate clothing if needed.
Additionally, to keep the focus on enjoying the moment, students will be required to check their phones at the door. This allows them to be fully present and engaged in the fun!
Thank you for your support in making this a wonderful night for our students. We look forward to an evening filled with music, laughter, and great memories!
Chinese New Year Celebration
Cultural Celebration Days
On designated cultural celebration days (such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Chinese New Year, and Mardi Gras), students may wear either traditional cultural attire that reflects the heritage(s) being celebrated or the school’s formal uniform. For Chinese New Year, formal dress examples may include Hanfu and Cheongsam.
Jeans, T-shirts, and sweatshirts-even if they include language from the celebrated culture or reflect contemporary casual clothing from that culture-are not considered traditional cultural attire and are not permitted on cultural celebration days.
The purpose of these guidelines is to honor and respect the cultures we study. Increasing the formality of dress on these days serves as a sign of respect and appreciation for the cultural traditions being celebrated.
