YOUR WEEKLY COMMUNICATION ABOUT ALL THINGS MURASKI

Muraski Tribune22-23: Issue 4YOUR WEEKLY COMMUNICATION ABOUT ALL THINGSMURASKI

A Message from the Principals

Good Morning Muraski Families,

We are off and running through our first 8 days and our first full week of school. It's been a very smooth start, as students are getting acquainted with their new teachers and classmates, relearning our procedures, and learning each and every day at Muraski. We are so grateful that we get to work with your children on a daily basis. We have so much fun!

Below, you will see pictures, a PBIS update that includes an video related to all of our expectations for PRIDE, several PTA items, and on-going links related to our school. Let's make it a great week, before a long weekend with Labor Day!

Have a great start to your week,

Mike Griffen & Sam Lawrence

PBIS Kick-Off

As you know, PBIS & PRIDE are very important components of Muraski Elementary. We will always work to share as much as we can about this initiative.

This week, we really emphasized RESPECT and INCLUSION. At the start of the year, we want all students to feel welcomed, accepted, and supported. How we interact with one another and treat each other with our words, our actions, and the choices we make every day supports this.

It was said best by a 4th grader, "when we are respectful of each other and include one another, we create a place where everyone wants to come every day!"

Below are some word clouds that are students created this week.

Also, there is a video link that you can view to see all of our PRIDE expectations.

Impact of Unpaid School Fees

As a reminder, all school fees that have not been paid are now considered past due. To check the balance and pay outstanding school fees, go to Pay Schools Central by clicking HERE. In addition to Pay Schools Central, school fees can be paid by cash/check to your student’s building secretary or with the Treasurer's Office. If you have questions related to this, please contact the building secretary or Dawn Evangelista (devangelista@scsmustangs.org) within the Treasurer's Department. As we are approaching a new school year, as well as the start of fall sports, per Board of Education policy, the consequences for outstanding prior year school fees will prohibit students from participating in any school extracurricular activities (i.e., athletics, student council, school clubs, etc.), field trips, and school sanctioned dances / events that require a purchased ticket.
